T-5 Swap done
big ass difference... Feels like a whole different car
atleast a .5 improvement.
only fault though is the shifter vibrates like crazy when you get on it...
either way its a whole new animal and its a reccomended swap for anybody with a stockish AOD
I know a AOD can be made faster.. but this is just way funner

it will be atleast a .5 improvement,a friend did nothing more than a aod to t-5 swap on his stock 92,it ran 14.80 with aod and with the t-5 it runs 13.85,good luck now get it to the track

If you an aftermarket, they always vibrate like that for the most part. I would try an alumn d/s to help quell some of it. I honestly dont think you will drop .5, the car is gonna be a little bit harder to launch but you sure as will pick up a few mph.

I just swapped out tranny's as well; only mine were both t-5's. I have a bad vibration around 65 mph and up, and I think it is the frive shaft causing this so I am going with an aluminum d/s to see if it solves the prob. long story short is this vibration all the time or only at certain speeds?

yep, freshly rebuilt....
Aluminum driveshaft 3.73 gears
pro5.0 shifter..
it rips now though I think its 13 second capable (not saying much but hey)

You will get a .5 to a full second reduction in your 1/4 mile time. Stock AOD cars are low 15 second cars at best. Every stock 5 speed 5.0 car I've run at the track has gone low 14's, with a few bolt on's, easy 13's.
