Default timming

just curious on how much timming u guys are running on ur 5.0s. i have a head/cam/intake still and was wondering what the best amount of timming would be for my application?

A chassis dyno would let you know what timing is best, but somewhere in the 14-16 range would be a good starting point.

i run 93 oct too. would 14 sound like a good # ?

The correct timing would be just under your detonation threshold. Increase your timing until you can hear it detonating then back it off a degree or two. All motor, I use 16 base.

Also - might sound crazy, but always get your gas from the same station, if you can help it. IME, The quality of fuel is different from station to station.

ive put shell 93 since i got the car? my family has a gas card there.. on the way home from school the car was feelin kinda funny. from like a 3k roll WOT it feels alot better. but when i give it full throttle at a low rpm (such as lik 1.5k) car reacts funny and doesnt wanna move. feels like something isnt moving right and jerky
