I work at geahead performance and this is a reply to a earlier message about don't go to gearhead. I just wanted everyone to know the real story. Here is what he said happen, if you not see the message.

Well I've had a bad experience down at gearhead Today....



I go in there often and have spent just about 1000 dollars there in the past month.....


somehow I have gotten a Autometer tach that says 1999 on it?

MSD6A box
Blaster coil (supposed to be a blaster 2 but dont want to go back and argue and hear more bullshit)
Ford Racing 9mm wires that Smell like ABSOLUTE ass (wires dont smell pretty but these will make you gag)
and Last but Not least march aluminum underdrive pulleys...( supposed to be BBK ... Long Story)



well here it goes I went in there, Asked for the following MSD6A, Blaster 2Coil, ford racing 9mm wires and to exchange mac steel underdrive pulleys for BBK aluminum pulleys because the Mac pulleys weighed 2lbs a piece... I got a smartass attitude and a bunch of avoiding etc.... (this could be that im 16... but 400 dollars is 400 dollars) well after the transaction I got the MSD6A and the wires and was told I got to wait until monday to get the other parts.... so I agreed and said I will be back monday


I called that monday and he told me that there are still not in yet and the BBK aluminum underdrive pulleys are taking longer then usual... So I came in today (tuesday)

Upon arrival I was ignored for about 5-10 minutes while he was talking to other employees, so I waited...


well his son then goes in the back and gets me a generic MSD stock replacement coil and says its just as good as a Blaster 2 coil...


he then hands me the "BBK aluminum underdrive pulleys"


all went well and I returned back to my car and as I was about 2 minutes away I opened the unusually heavy BBK aluminum underdrive pulleys, valuah MAC steel Underdrive pulleys that are BLACK in color.... after seeing this me and my friend turn around and go back to gearhead, as soon as I walked in the door the owners son and wife walks into the back and I start to talk to ed the owner. He precedes to act all buddy buddy with me and quotes "so somebody got out the scales on me eh?" after trying to remain my cool I said "guess so" and went on. he then claims he never checked them blah blah shitload of excuses, then started saying that BBK doesnt make aluminum underdrive pulleys, but then returned the statement after realizing I Specifically asked for BBK aluminum underdrive pulleys and wondered if they had the same price as summit. well all in all he told me I had to wait till next monday to get the BBK aluminum underdrive pulleys, and after making a wierd look he asks "do you need them right away" so I replyed "yeah I kinda do" so he goes straight to a half opened march box and hands me some BBK/March aluminum underdrive pulleys......


after suspicion I went through the March Underdrive pulley and it came out being the bbk aluminum underdrive pulleys that I originally ordered....


well this pretty much sums it up...


Gearhead tryed to fuck me over plain and simple.


now that I got some half stock replacement coil and some BBk aluminum underdrive pulleys in a march box I think that there a bunch of scams....


his son had to be on it, and his wife has to be on it as well as they both fled to the back as soon as I walked in. he has his family in doing scams with them. I know it wasnt a big purchase(s) but dirty and wrong none the least.

First off the autometer tach with 1999 that does not mean anything it was new in the box and I sell several every week.

Second if he wanted a baster 2 coil all he had to do is speak up I have at least 10 in stock. I gave him the msd tfi coil which is what goes on a fox body mustang it is a direct replacment no cutting or spicing wires, and has the same output as the baster two.

Third the ford racing wires that smell I have nothing to do with how the wires smell I buy the wires from ford racing just like everyone else.

Fourth about the pulleys he might of got a kind of smart ass reply because we are talking about a pound or two and maybe and horsepower or two. But if thats what the customer wants we will get it. We made a mistake and got him the bbk steel pulley instead of the aluminum we did not switch the box. Then when he came back with the bbk pulleys and wanted aluminum pulley we said no problem. Then we asked him if he needed them now he yes so we gave him a set a MARCH underdrive pulleys which are more money and nicer pulleys for no more additional cost.

And the nonsense about us running in the back, we never hide from customers. We were busy helping other customers the world does not revolve around him and his pulleys.

Also we never igorned a customer all we can do is wait on one customer at a time.

That my story on what happen. If a customer ever has a problem with anything, all you have to do say something and we will do anything we can.

this sounds fishy to me. Were they wrapped in newspaper as origionally reported, i know my march pulleys weren't.

 

why would a paying customer get a smart ass response?

also i am curious about the newspaper as well. and why would ed tell this guy that aluminum pullies weren't made for his car when anybody with half a brain would call bull shit just like this 16 year old kid did? there is just a bunch of wierd surrounding circumstances.

dude I ordered, aluminum pulleys and u gave me a smart ass reply about getting what I ordered.... and on the box it said ALUMINUM and there was Steel pulleys in there.... how does that happen? I was the only guy in the store when I returned, I specifically remember this......


I could care less about the 25 dollars for the pulleys, its just the fact that I got Fucking Steel pulleys in an aluminum box when I specially ordered them, then got shit when I wantd to get the ones I ordered.


I'm not gona argue over this, I told it straight up how it was, I wasnt stretching the truth with anything IMO your shop is a joke..

I thought you were exagerating, but after reading his retort I'm thinking that this was a "He's just a 16 year old who gives a shit" kind of thing.

I mean being a smartass because someone was returning pulleys that THEY put in the wrong box is ridiculous.

 

i can't think of one legit reason for this to happen.

Beyond what has been said, this is obviously a waste of everyone's time and energy. Is there a middle ground, in which the customer can be happy and the business be happy? I don't know the shop owner or the customer, but I'd rather see a resolution than the continuation of mud slinging. I won't post in this thread again, so don't reply to me.
