Holley Carb Question
I just recently put a fresh rebuilt 650- DP on my 351W...I have a Holley Red external pump mounted in the rear...it runs to a holley regulator....then I have a pressure gauge and I would say I had about 7 lbs to the carb...it ran well for a while...now I can hear gas trickling into the carb...then flooding all over the manifold...do you think 7lbs is too much for the carb??...I will also be replacing the regulator...it wouldn't adjust down to anything lower than 7lbs...took it apart and found damage there too...........thoughts??
I think the red pump only put out 7 psi, so I could be wrong but I dont think you need to use a regulator with with the red pump. 7 psi isnt to much for that carburator either.

Might have to adjust the floats, you should have two sight plugs on the side of the bowls. They make nice clear ones also, just take out the plugs (unscrew) while pump is running and the fuel should be right at the base of the hole. A little bump on the fender and it should trickle out a bit. Now try it with the car running to make sure again. If its coming out the plug then you need to adjust the floats. Easy, the top screw adjusts the float up or down and the nut keeps it locked. Make sure gauge is good 7 to 7 1/2 is about max for a Holley, I ran 6 1/2 with a blue pump and made sure it never dropped below about 4 pounds in high gear.
