Default Price For Installing Control Arms And more...

I have a set of south side lower control arms, steeda upper control arms, steeda sub frame connertors and a set of lower torque box reinforcing plates. I called around for some pricing and found as follows:

Blue oval corral, they said done in 1 day price 500.00
Ramseys perfromance: done in 3 days? price 700.00

Are these guys on fucking crack, both quote labor of 10 hrs. Blue oval said 200.00 just for the torque boxes because they are a pain in the ass? You bolt them on and weld them in to secur them! With Ramseys I told them that i would take out the back seats and carpet to save on labor and from fire from welding..

Any suggestions or anyone know some one with a lift? Everything needs to be weilded in.. Thanks... Jaime...

Give Sam a call at Coastal (813) 849-2423 and you may get a better quote.

Do you own a Torch Red FRC and tremble every time you drive under I75 on Hwy 60 and look in your rearview mirror? If so you are suffering from what is known as Cobraphobia.

I think You're looking at this from the wrong perspective.
You want quality work or the cheapest price possible? If you figure an average of $50 an hour for labor (which covers the shops expenses on time and materials, etc) $500 will be about righ for 10 hours. It's a considerable amount of work that you're asking to be done and done right.. $700 is high in my book, but around $500 isn't unreasonable.
and I second Fordspeed..

If you're looking for the cheapest price, get a set of jackstands and a welder and go to it..

Just my .02

jack stands and a welder is least expensive way to go. i did two sets in my drive way but never have done the battle boxes. for your sub-frame install the boxes and upper and lower control arms $500 sounds fair to me for a quality job.
