91 Thunderbird feul pump

i have to change a feul pump on my aunts 91 t bird and I was wondering is their any way to change the pump with out having to take off the gas tank or could any one give me step by step instructions?

on how to take off the gas tank if their is no way of changing it with out takeing off the tank

OK.....step by step...
step one....take the tank out....
step two...take the old fuel pump out and insert new pump
step three....put the tank back in.
