auto tranny??
I'm gonna turbo my 95 Cobra and i was thinking bout putting a auto in it. I want something with overdrive (not computer controlled) cuz i would like to be able to do hi speed highway runs with my Supra buddies
i will be running a 3.55 gear and 19" wheels so i want something that will take me to 180-190mph.
Thanks, Frankie

I would suggest a Lentech or a Level 10 - both of them make very well built but pricey auto overdrive trannies.

A 3.55 gear, a 19 " wheel and you want to run 180-190 mph??? I think you will need more than a trans to to pull that high of a speed, such as a built block that can even try thinking about letting you rev that high to go that fast. Other things to ponder than a trans. You will need a block that will need to spin to about 10,000 rpm with an ultralight weight rotating assembly, such as a nascar motor. Just my thoughts though.

Im gonna run a DSS XR 331 shortblock with a T76 that im gonna rev til it stops making power. I dont really see why 180 should be a problem cuz right now on a 3.55 gear and a world class T5 I can pull 160 all day. But I do understand that im trying to do the speed range on 4 speeds as compared to 5 speeds. Would I be better off using like a TKO600 or a T56 instead of an auto??

The T56 6-speed would probably be a better route since you will have more gears to play with. BTW, where the hell do you go that fast?
