No they are not billet, they are from Scat. They tell me they are made in house but I am not believing that for some reason. I think they probably do like most and just buy a good blank and do their own tricks to them.
I got these because they are a true two piece rod (not cast as one piece and broken apart). And I was able to work a package deal with them on other things. You would be shocked if you knew what kind of deal I got on these.
They are going out this weekend to start the balancing and some other stuff.

it will help with the longevity of the motor, plus it will be more efficient. If you're going to spend the money getting it nitrided, knife edged, etc. you may as well get the motor 0 balanced. Typically 302 motors are balanced with a 50z, doubt that you would want that excess weight slinging around on the nose of the crank...
Not required, but would be a good idea, especially if you're going to spin it north of 7500...
also, NASCAR motors spin for one race then are rebuilt...
