x seems to be better for high hp applications, but for bolt on stock 5.0's h pipe is the only way to go.

X is great for road racing application. So if your running 6500 for a hour straught, get it. If not get the H.

h-pipe: low end HP/TQ
x-pipe: more top end hp/tq

i had a BONE STOCK automatic 5.0(plastic air box and all)..it was a sad excuse for a mustang...i put off rd h pipe, flowmaster 2 chambers on it and 4.10 gears, and that car dropped over a full second off my 8th mile time. dont fear the gear...do 4.10s, u wont regret it. my 5.0 went from being dog slow, to fishtailin till 40-45mph when it hooked with those 4.10s and h pipe.

though for me, you'd have to change it to 10 inches, and you'd have to change inches to millimeters, and you'd have to change 10 to 5 and you'd have to change dick to poor excuse for one.
