alright i called discount this morning and told them i neep a cpu for a 90 foxbody automatic 8 cylinder,they asked if i had california emissions i told he rno so she said she had 2 of those,one of them is 108.00,the other one they have to call the manufacturer and ask hwo much it is cause they dotn even know the price,now i dont knwo wich one i should get anyone done that before,the 108.00 doller one they can have in the next day but thei ris a cor eof 75 doller lol,u guys think they will accept my speeddensity comp??do they look the same by the way??

 

They usually don't know enough to look so you should be fine. I gave them a 4cyl comp as a core charge and they didn't say anything so I wouldn't worry about it did you have them price match it for you?

 

well i havnt goten the comp yet.I am waiting to call stewart scott tomorrow to ge tthe mass air n the hardware form him then i am goin to discount she said 108 n it takes them bout a day to get it,if they dont check the code then that will be fine ia m doin the convesion hopefully this weeknd i am goin to try autozone as well,all ia m worried bout is payiung th eover 200 dollers for one n then when i take back the old one they tlel me no caus eits not the same year,but ur right usually discout n autozone employees dont knwo what the hell is goin on though,so ia m goin to try if not i am goin to blue oval he said 150 but he don tknwo if he got one for a auto,u guys think they migh tgiv eme the right one though?

 

i checked all my computers today and all i have left is 5 speed computers...you can possibly get away with trading the speed density one in, stay away from teh california equipped computers...

if you are looking in the clearwater area then there prob won't be an autozone store that will have them. when I went last weekend they were out and back ordered and won't be able to get you one in time. If you want I'll put up my speed density comp for you to take in and when you get the new comp if you give me your old speed density comp after the install is done. I'll be in the clearwater area Sat morning just shoot me a pm if you want to do it that way.
