Why arent there more 351's built??

Why arent there more 351's built??

If I was to ever 'build' a Mustang I would deff start with a 351, but it seems most people around here go with stroked 302's.....why??

You got me. Right when it becomes time to go with a new shortblock I'll be going with a stroked 351.

just easier so go with a 347 and cheaper

Not by much, and for a couple hundred more you could have another 50 ci's.

347 just drops in nothing else to worry about, 351 takes some more work

Yea you do need 351 specific parts to drop a 351 in. A lot of parts do interchange, but as far as parts availbility goes 302 > 351. Plus to do a roller 351 you either gotta find a 95 or later block or do a retro conversion.

Exactly. Also keep in mind that they aren't as interchangable chasis wize as the GM vehicles. Any small block Chevy will fit in any vehicle that came from GM with a small block Chevy. The 351 requires a new K-member and some other stuff just to prep the engine bay to accept the 351.
