nothin says "im putting a bullet in my head" like doing a h/c spray setup and wrapping the front end around a pole and leaving the block useless.
Correct, I have just started driving, I'm simply asking questions that interest me ahead of time because in about two or three months I'll be running into some money and have been toying with several ideas. I know I'd have no where near enough money for an engine swap but the concept was intruiging so I decided to ask about it for whenever I had a real income. The money is all going toward basics as people said, although I like the idea of owning a fast car I'm going with what the experienced people have said which is that the speedy stuff won't mean anything without the basics. Headers/Cams/Heads is my current goal, and possibly that 3.73 gear some people where speaking about, although I still don't have much of a clue as to what they are I'm learning.

Get two things first:

1) Subscription to Hot Rod Magazine.

2) Subscription to MM&FF magazine.

Once you have those two things READ. Research is the key to finding your basic information. Once you have an idea of the concepts and vocabulary involved you will have an easier time.

once you get more knowledgeable to the crap that goes on in the motor you can try to read engine builders, good magazine, but it also hase mostly chevy crap but you will get the idea of how to tune and do other things yourself and save alot of money on labor, and that money could be used to make your car even better
