I got a 96 Crown Vic police interceptor, anyone know what all they do to these besides tranny, 3.73, and four wheel disc brakes?

 

if it's a true police interceptor, it should have dual exhaust, a cooled tranny, better drive shaft, vinyl seets, a rubber floor, and be pretty much as crappy as it can get on the interior. How much did you pay for it?

 

Not always, they also sell them fully equipped(ie carpet, power windows and locks and cd players) . I believe they also get larger sway bars and a few other suspension mods.

 

I believe that all of the newer ones (2000-present) are pretty stripped down. I was looking into buying a used police interceptor for a while. Most of the newer ones have cloth bucket seats in the front, vinyl seats in the rear and rubber floors. I can't find any specs on the 1996 model, but i have found a couple places where you can buy a 2009 p71 for under 10k with only 60k miles on it.

Where did you buy this car at, and how much was it?

i got it from a freind and it does have dual exhaust, rubber floor, cloth bucket seats. i was just wondering about the motor and stuff....

 

btw this car is so much fun to drive cause its pretty quick for a big heavy four door and people never tailgate or pass you and if you get behind them they quickly slow down and turn off, and if your speeding or something and pass a cop they just nod at you, i like messing with ricers the most though lol....

Ever heard of a Kenny Brown Mercury Marauder? My friend in Chicago was the first to have one supercharged, and it ran 11.7 in the quarter mile. That was an insanely awesome car. People would get out of our way as we flew down the highway, and it hasn't been pulled over since it was made over 2 years ago.

As far as the performance modifications of this car, I don't theink they are anything that drematic, but they are significant enough that you will outperform a regular 1996 crown victoria, and will most likely last longer. How many miles does it haven it?
