Well my lease was up o nmy Rnager and I have bee ndebating on whether or not to buy an old Fox or get another truck. Well the warranty sounded like a better idea than workign on an old car so today I purchased a 2004 Ford F150 supercab 5.4l. I love the fact that at 1k rpm the truck has 90% of its trq. It's rated at 300hp but I am curious as to what it really is.

 

i have a 04 f-150 5.4 lariat too. I love it. The motor is stout, pulls my car and trailer much better than my chevy

Graves congrats on the truck, I think you'll find the 300 hp isn't really there. Most seem to be about 207 to 215 rwhp only about 7 to 10 hp more then the old 5.4. I just picked up a 2003 low mile lariat FX4 supercab 5.4 for 17K so I was sold on being 10K cheaper then x plan price for the same truck. any chance you guys want to go wheeling ???? Not sure if you went with 4wds

On edit he'd still be waiting on a 05 stang since they fell short again on power and had to delay their release. (see head problems on 4.6/5.4 motors).

 

Trust me I am the master of getting a deal on Fords and almost any other car line except Mazda and Porche.
