1969 351w into a 393???
I know to make a 351w into a 393 brute you need a stroker crank, stock length 351w rods and 302 pistons. Ok now here is my question, what if you have a 1969 351w motor with the shorter deck height? Is there any changes????? Anyone have any info on this?

JE Pistons makes a 393 piston based on the 1969-1970 9.48 deck height measurement. Part number is 131656. 1.6 comp height, yielding 10.5 compression if/when using a 64cc cylinder head. I don't know pricing. The rings they specify to work with them is part number J10008-4030-5. Scat 9000 3.85 crankshafts are always on Ebay. I plan to get mine from someone there.
My virgin '69 block has been in storage on a stand for about two years now. I'm ready to get mine rocking sometime soon. I'm tired of the b.s. and want to start flexing more motor muscle at the hangouts to distance the damn riceburners from our spots. This place needs more big motored cars on the roads.

Thanks for the great info man. I am trying to decide what route to take, either a stroked 351w or a stroked 460. A stroker 460 crank, a set of 6.7 chebby rods and I guess stroker pistons is all that is needed for a 521?? So im told, im trying to dig up info on the stroker pistons for a 460. Again thanks for the input. Couldn't I use a set of 302 pistons with a -5 dome instead of the -11 dome you have listed or will there be issues?
