Default Newbie Mustang Question

Hi,

Im thinking of getting out of the import scene and moving into domestics. Im thinking of buying a 94-98 Mustang GT.
Ive been researching them a lot lately. Anyways, I got a few questions for you peple out there.
What do these GT's run stock in the 1/4 mile usually?
Also, how reliable are they? Is there a certain year to stay away from? How much should I expect to pay to be able to get a good 94-98 GT?
Thanks

go with a 94-95 gt. The 96-98 have shit heads and dont make a lotta power. the 94-95s have 5.0's . when i was at sunshine a few weeks ago there was a bone stock 97 gt running 10.3's in the 1/8s. I have a fox 5.0 which is a little lighter then the sn95's and ran a 9.6 in the 1/8 and a 15flat in the 1/4 bone stock(and im not the greatest driver in the world yet) So i would say low 15s maybe high 14s stock if u can drive with the 94-95s and mid to high 15s in the 96-98s.

As was mentioned, the 94-95 cars are 5.0's, after that they went to mod motors. While the mod motors are technologically more advanced, if it's not a 32v cobra motor, I would stay away from them. It is much easier and cheaper to make power with a 5.0 motor than the older mod motors.
