Well The Tranny Is Out !

After much debate, calculations, and phone calls it was determined that changing tires / gear alone should solve my getting to the end of the 1/4 mile issue but probably not the heat issue. So I yanked the tranny and sent the converter out Friday so it could be tightened . Nothing more fun than laying on the garage floor for a hour or so and yanking a tranny.
Now I will sit and hope that this alone solves the heat / stall issue. If it does I can not wait until the race on the 26th.
P.S. Thanks again Cliff and sorry you had to drive 20 minutes for 30 seconds of assistance.

Yeah that is my ingenious way of catching the drips that were coming out of the tranny cooler. Funny thing is the bottle is a Cranberry juice bottle and the fluid coming out is of course red.
...i bet you route it back to the carb, so at the press of a button you can toss some ATF in the motor, and make people think you broke something...you ford guys are tricky like that..

....until he get's his new motor in and has to either buy a new converter or loosen that one up now due to the fact that he'll have to go to a bigger tire or a higher stall.. but hey, it's only money right?!

Yeah I had a real issue doing this but I am hell bent to see what the car can do with the stock motor in it, guess I am weird like that.
Then when the new motor goes in a am sure it will need a converter adjustment but that will be free of charge.
