I am stumped

I'm sorry. I wasn't aware that I own a business. I don't work on anyone else's car. No, I've never been ripped because I do all of my own work on my car. Plus, I've done my own research on a lot of sites. I always have. I'm not holding a gun to the guy's head telling him he must absolutely replace all these sensors, but that they all work together and that replacing just one sensor may lead to the failure of another if not make matters worse. All I did was pass on a recommendation/info that is could be useful and has worked for me as well as many other who have been into EFI 5.0s throughout the years. I'm quite sure that you cannot tell what the exact problem may be from driving a car totally strange to you just once. I'm also quite sure that in the past you have thought a certain part was the culprit of one of your problems and then learned after replacing the part your problem still existed. Nobody is perfect. You may step down off of your high horse now.

69Boss, how many miles are on the car? I also like Mars 302's idea of using the code reader. A thought which didn't come to my mind at first. Maybe, just maybe it can give you a better start at diagnosing the problem.

. I'm sorry , I just figured with all that knowledge about Fords EEC system you'd put it to use and make yourself a little money. But I guess not. All I'm trying to do here is help the guy out too with some suggestions to correct his problem. Just remember next time you try take someone to " class " , just make sure you know who the fuck you're tryin to school !! And I'll continue to ride up here " on my high horse " , its a much nicer view.

I agree to run codes first, but bad O2's won't show up on a code scanner (unless they are unplugged or WAY bad). I think it would be smarter to replace the O2's before the MAP because as was mentioned, the O2's are ignored for the first 2 minutes of EVERY startup. The MAP is always read. Plus, O2's are notoriously going bad with about 80k miles on the clock, if not sooner.
code scanners are pricey. a shop is your best bet for that. all b.s. aside if your O2's have never been replaced they need to be anyway, and maybe it will solve your problem.
