V8 Conversion (help!)

Thinkin about doing maybe a 302 or 351 with a 5.0 drivetrain. Dunno if i should be thinkin efi or carb, but i'm in the process of reading up on carbs and cams. (any imput on this would be great) I ain't really got anything really specific that I want besides the drivetrain and suspension. Where i need help is exactly what is necessary for the swap, engine setup, and any minor details about slappin tha v8 in there. *a streetable vehicle, with about a year's time to buy all the parts new*

Lookin for 400 or better on a n/a setup. Is that realistic? I dunno...still reading! By the way, is there anyone who opposes the 4.6 mod engines?
