Default Best mpg with 42's?

What kind of mpg's are you guys getting with 42 lb injectors. I think I'm getting 10 going down a hill with a 40 mph tailwind.

I wish I could go with a smaller injector with an fmu but on my race setup, I'm almost maxing out the 42's. Another 100 hp and they're gonna be close to 100 % duty cycle. I guess I'll have to get a set of 55 lb high impedence injectors.

It is all in the tune and keeping out of the throttle.

With 55lb injectors I was knocking down 15-17 mpg with a PMS.

With 72's and AEM I should do the same, maybe even a little better.

Do you own a Torch Red FRC and tremble every time you drive under I75 on Hwy 60 and look in your rearview mirror? If so you are suffering from what is known as Cobraphobia.

You need to get you some sort of engine management system, either TwEECer, PMS, AEM or whatever. I'm liking the TwEECer. Seems to be a good bang for the buck plus you can do data logging including real time on your LM-1 wideband. Has a steep learning curve and the instructions suck but there are a couple of good support forums.

www.tweecer.com

and http://tweecer.oplnk.net/

TwEECer has 4 programable positions that you can switch to on the fly. Set one up for daily driving, one for maximum highway economy, one for kick butt pump gas racing and one for all out race gas racing. Plus, the stock tune is still there on a 5th position for emergencies. I've just been playing with it since I don't have my final configuration down yet (such things as only having 1st and 2nd gear right now)

Sounds like a nice setup, after I reach my goal of running 9's without a add on computer or chip then I think I'll do that.

Thanks,
Briane

With the 75s I had in there I was getting about 13-14 when I decided to turn it down a little I put the 42s back in for more daily driving and get around 16-17 granted they go to 108% duty cycle when I turn it up to 8-9 lbs of boost. Thats with a SDS DFI also.

Jeez, how do they handle 108% duty cycle?

Sure, when I'm running 9 second ET's I'm sure I'll be getting 9 mpg's or less.
