Default 75-100 shot on 88 mustang?

88 = no mass air , would it be safe to run 75-100 shot on a bone stock motor, if not, what would i need to run this big of shot? also, would i wanna do wet or dry? ive only had nitrous on 2 cars, so im fairly new to it, sorry if it sounds like a stupid question, jus not tryin to blow another one up

Should be fine if you don't have incredibly high miles. Stay at 100 or 125 and you shouldn't have any problems with the motor, the tranny is a whole different story though.

Hey if your looking for simplicity and safety go with the ZEX dry system. You should be fine with up to a 125 shot. How long your tranny depends on how you drive it. Many will recomend a WOT. How many miles?

i was told by vince to use colder plugs and back off the timing about 3 degrees, is there a specific brand of plugs i should use?

You could actually safely do more, but being that you say you're relatively new, 100 is fine. You may want to consider a fuel pump and filter. The stock one flowed enough in '88, but now that it's 16 years old, better safe than sorry

Also, you say speed density like it's a bad thing, remember, they were the fastest stock 5.0's. I'd get called a liar if I told you what an '87 LX with a stock motor and a dry kit I used to have ran, so I'll just say done right, your car could fly

hmm, u can only go so fast with speed density though, but im very interested on knowing what it ran.. the car actually has a BRAND NEW fram fuel filter that was put in yesterday lol, also, what kinda fuel pump like a 155lph or 255lph?

It's not that you can only go so fast, it's that the computer does not adjust to mods that affect airflow/manifold pressure as well as mass air. A speed density computer only sees what the pressure is in the manifold, where a mass air car actually reads how much air the engine is pulling in instead of only whether or not it is pulling vacuum. A stock speed density computer doesn't know what is going on when you start putting in things like a cam, better flowing heads, boost, etc. If you are going to keep the car pretty near stock, save your money, it'll be faster anyway. If you're planning big things for it, mass air will definitely make it easier. As far as a fuel pump, that depends on your ultimate goal, a 155 would be more than adequate for a stock motor and a mild nitrous setup. I've seen it done on a stock pump, but you sound like you don't want any problems which you won't with too much fuel, only not enough The car I refer to was a full weight '87 LX hatch (a/c, pw and all), T-5, 2.73 gear, stock motor, stock manifolds, off road H-pipe, some shitty discount auto parts mufflers with turn downs. With a set of 26 x 10 slicks, and a NOS dry kit with the biggest jets found (For the naysayers, I know the solenoid only flows so much) the car went a 11.99 at bradenton on a 7.6 1/8th mile, 2 weeks later it went a 7.5x at sunshine. This was before I owned it, I bought it without the kit, put a wet kit on it and had a blast on the street though I never took it to the track again.

how long did that last with that big ass shot on it?

see, im thinkin my 88 will move pretty good with a 125 dry kit, 155lph fuel pump, colder plugs, timing backed up 3 degrees, my mac shorty headers, mac o/r h-pipe, 40 series flowmasters, 3:73's and im thinkin of goin with a cobra upper and lower intake, king cobra clutch, and some nitto's i should have myself a decent car.. then when the tranny takes a shit, itll be time for a termec so i will have no problems and that should be it..
