Track Results With The Auto. Transmission

Well there is good news to report and bad news. Lets start with the bad, my new tranny cooler is way to small. I back roaded it from Brandon to the track both ways to stay off the interstate, good thing. Going to the track the trans temp stayed around 205-210 no to bad but it was cool at 8:30 a.m... Coming home it got hot and ran around 230 with the occasional spike to 240 when I had to slow down below 50 m.p..h..
Talk about a white knuckle ride.
One other piece of bad news, the car runs out of gear just before the 1,000 ft. marker !
So keep that in mind when looking at these slips. Another gear is going in next week, thankfully I have one.
Now on to the good news, the car loves the auto big time !
I made eight runs, six of which were good launches and the first two were me taking it easy on the maiden voyage. There was also something else going on at the track that made this even more fun.
The final six slips are below.

And here was the best and also the last !
It still went a 10 in the 1/4 with lifting off after the 1/8th mile because I was on the limiter. :o
Also these are all new bests for 60ft. times with this one being the best of the bunch at 1.41 !
I am estatic about this and can't wait to put a different gear in. My 1/8 mile m.p.h. was actually a tenth quicker with the other (manual) transmission but it was cooler and at night that time, today it was crazy hot.
If you plug this in a 1/8 mile conversion program it equals about to about a 10.28 @ 131 in the 1/4. So my guess is with slightly better weather, new gear, and no other changes it has a 10.1xx in it. Now I wonder what it would do if I went from 12.9 lbs. of boost to 15 lbs. ? Pretty sure it would go a 9.xx in the heat.
All this on a factory stock fourteen year old 302 bottom end (minus cam).. Oh mama what will it do with the R block and 25 lbs. of boost ?
BTW my car now pulls the tires a foot or so off the ground.
Time to go pass out from heat exhaustion.

It is a Trans King (got it from Copmagnet) and it is supposed to be 3,800 but looks more like it is 4,500 while on the trans brake which is a little higher than Iwould like but not bad.

I seriously think your whole lets race for money line is a way of copping out of running. I make a very good living and I still won't bet, never have never will. So with that said some day you can man up and show or just continue to be the faster one via. the keyboard.
