Default opinions wanted

I am leaving for the American Iron national race at Mid-Ohio on thurs. morning. I have sitting in my garage a new set of tubular race control arms from Griggs and a coil over kit. Should I rush and put the stuff in or go with my car as is?

I figure I am at a disadvantage to these guys because I built my car for A/sedan which req. stock k-frame and control arms. All the AI guys are allowed to run the tubular stuff and most do. I am hesitant though cause I know how my car is now and dont want to take a chance by rushing to get the stuff in then wondering how it will handle.

It is a tough call, but all I can tell you is this....

Any job that I tried to get done before a race, never went smoothly.... With that being said.... you got 2 days... best get started now...

Wait till after the race. Get some testing time in first.

I agree. Definately get some seat time with the new setup before you compete.

lol, why would you want these parts?lol

but yea, my better judgement tells me to go with the proven set-up I have now but the racer in me wants to go faster. I'll leave it as is.

Holy shit! :o I've never seen the Grigg's a-arms before. Look like nice units. How much did they set you back?

I forget...are you also upgrading to the SN95 spindles/hubs?

I got them at cost and it was like $500 for the arms and $250 for the coilover kit. We used to be a dealer for Griggs when I worked at the shop up here, and I used to talk to Bruce on the phone about my car setup before his company blew up. Not you'll never get him on the phone.

and yes I have '99 spindles w/ the brakes.
