ok, my friend dont have a TR username, so im askin for him..

hes got an 87 5.0, around 90k miles or so, well if he wants to downshift into 3rd gear, it wont go in, u gotta like do halfway in 2nd and then it will go into 3rd just fine... would bad synchro's cause this? it dont grind or anything... could it be a shift fork or something? were stupmed...

 

the same thing kinda happends to me. my trannys wierd. sometime i gotta give it alittle more pressure to downshift sometimes not. and sometimes it doesnt let me at all. im just gonna ride it out till its completely shot.

we jus wanna know wtf it is, cause hes got like 450.00 for a full rebuild, so if its nothin we can fix, im gonna loan him 200 so he can use his 250 and rebuild it.....
