Default stang springs

I am about to sell my '88 GT but I think I am going to replace the rear struts and springs first because the car sit VERY low in the rear. I was wondering if I need to buy springs from a close year or if any year stock springs would work. I am not planning on lowering it any, I just want it back to stock. Does anyone here have struts/springs that would work for me? Where should I get them?

Thanks,
-Chad

Why are you selling? Try some new shocks first. It might help the stance of the rear end out. They are cheap.

Well, one reason I am selling it is because I really cant afford to drive it. I drive 60 miles round trip to work everyday and the gas is killing me.

You think I should try new shocks first? what do you guys think about this deal? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33590

I am just trying to get it sitting right so I can sell it. Like I said, the rear end sits really low... and it has gotten worse over the past couple months.

Any input would be great. Thanks guys
-Chad

I guess that is a good deal but if your getting rid of it then don't waste the money on some exspensive stuff. honestly you won't notice a difference between those and some off the shelf at DAPS.

only a good set of tools, rear springs are about as easy as it comes now-a-days, you can actually reaplace them just buy taking off one bolt on the lower control arm, swing it down with the sway bar still conected and the spring rests right on top of the lower control arm. might have to loosen the other bolt to allow the control arms to move down but you will havwe to have a friend or and rear end jack/exhaust hanger to put the arm back in place due to the spring pressure pushing against you. not that time consuming either. i changed my rear springs in about 20 mins. and the shock are even easier. one bolt on the bottom and on in the trunk and its out.

No special tools needed, try Real Speed Parts, they are reasonable and should have everything you need. 727-539-7383
