Default Any pointers?

My friend Tim (88FHPMustang5.0 or something like that on here) and I are doing a Cobra intake and BBK 65mm TB tomorrow on his 1988 Florida Highway Patrol Mustang. We are going to loop the coolant passage, as far as anything else goes is there any tips you guys know of for this swap?

I'm not getting anyone to do it If I can rebuild a motor I can put an intake manifold on. Yeah, we're putting on the Cobra upper/lower and a BBK 65mm throttle body that's already on it. I figured it would be pretty straight forward, but since I'm sure some of you have done it you would know if there's any snags in the process

Well we started it this morning before I went to work (at work now ) We got the upper and lower intake off, found 6 of the 8 injectors leaking :o . He's getting new o-rings for the fuel rail part of the injectors. We had to take that black coolant piping out to get it out of the engine bay. He has a 3 point strut tower brace thats bolted with nuts on the backside, which meant taking the cowl off and fender panels. So we decided to just take parts off the lower intake instead . Well when I left at noon he was cleaning it up and prepping for the new gaskets. I guess I'll give an update when I get a chance to talk to him after work.

Well it was on a mustang like mine before I got it, so I'm betting that stuff was taken care of, but we'll see.

as for blocking off the coolant lines in the throttlebody, i tried it and because of the egr/exhaust gasses it actually got hotter. the coolant was keeping it cooler than it would have gotten. this would work if the egr was blocked off in the heads though. the downside to blocking it is the egr is not hurting the power output at all, and it will make your engine last longer . it has its benifits.
