What year, I have a 93 automatic? SHO's are expensive to fix, but have good power.

V8 Sho's are prone to cam/cam sprocket separation. Very bad and expensive to fix. I got my SHO for a daily driver, and it is definitely fun to drive. If taken care of, the motors will supposedly run forever. The motors are durable, but I have heard that power adders are not a good idea. The engine note is definitely addicting.

You can get the cam gears welded on before there is a problem, but I believe the cams have to come out of the motor. Check SHOshop.com for info, I think they have an exchange program. I think that most people have problems around 80-90k miles, and it doesn't matter if she drives hard or not. Also, Ford would not warranty the motors or issue a TSB about it. Definitely consider doing the fix before it is too late.
