I need some pricing, maybe.
Like 4 years ago my mom won a '65 mustang(289) from one of those mall drawings around christmas time. Well the only times we've driven it is the 4 times we've moved since then. And this last time, half way through the 15 mile drive to the new house, my dad noticed it had no breaks.
This car is the light blue, they repainted it for the give away and has roughly 90k miles on it. Other than that its completely stock with original everything(except tires i believe). Anyhow, I've heard of like the Gas tank kit and such for the older mustangs due to rear-ending problems.
Since I just became interested in cars(can now legally drive), I've decided to try and put a few dollars into the car to just have fun with. No I don't want it as a daily driver, something for meets and show. The car looks awesome, no dings(except for a weird bump near the door makes a super loud noise when you open it). The interior even looks good. Anyhow, I really want some tips on things the older mustangs needed to make them more safe. Also we've wanted to put disc brakes in since its just pads, anyone know pricing on that?
In all, its a complete stock, with 90k miles, 1965 mustang. It turns on every time we go to move it. So mechanically its running really sound.
Dislikes:
-Steering wheel has insane amount of play.
-Tough clutch(stong man competition style)
-No brakes.(weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

Any info/tips/tricks would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Chris didn't say anything to insult your car. I don't understand why you seem so hostile.
Anywho...very nice looking Mustang. You don't see restored classic Mustangs in that shape. I say keep it and enjoy it.
Check out Year One for resoration stuff (I think www.yearone.com).
