Default car still missing

well my car started missing again tonight, but this time i had my air/fuel gauge hooked up and well when my car started missing the gauge stopped working. the indicator lights went out but the gauge was still on. when it stated missing the gauge went from stoich. over to lean then all the lights went out. and i know the gauge runs off the oxygen sensor's. so could this be my problem, and why this only happens from time to time???

also if so how much to oxygen sensors cost?

Who said it wasn't the oxygen sensors? Not trying to sound like I'm arguing, but if they have a lot of miles on them he may as well replace them, regardless. In case you weren't aware Bosch is the original manufacturer of Ford oxygen sensors.
