Update On My Automatic Trans Install
I purchased Chris' (CopMagnet) C4 a few weeks ago and for the hell of it while it is out of the car we decided to take it apart to see if it needs anything reinforced / upgraded before installing it.
We were pleasantly suprised to find it has rolling bearings and extra clutch packs ! Also some of the internals have been reinforced so we did not have much to do. John from Coastal did some tricks to it because he knows the C4's very well so I am getting exicited to see what it will do at the track. The dyno numbers are going to drop quite a bit but thats fine with me because I am not building a dyno queen.

You might lose a bit of power, but your launches/times will be a lot more consistent.
BTW Scott, how high of a stall are you gonna go? Are you gonna make it into a track only car sometime down the road?

You might be pleasantly surprised when you dyno it....
When I swapped my 95 from manual to auto a few years ago when it was just a h/c/i low boost supercharged 5.0 - it went from 342rwhp to 331rwhp (dyno runs within a week of each other with everything else the same - including same gas).....I was pleasantly surprised because I thought the drop would be more than that....I was about .3 quicker at the track with the auto at the time....

The car is always going to be driven to the track, even with the R block. That is priority # 1 for me when planning upgrades.
You should see the tranny cooler and fan I am putting on.
