Default A word of warning on rising Thefts in Tampa/St.Pete

Alright guys just wanted to post up, a freind of mine had thier mustang broken into. Another guy that I dont know of but another freind knows had his car broken into the other night, and they tried to steal the wholde car by popping the ignition, They actually couldnt get it started because the Chip key prevented the theft. However the way thier breaking into these cars is through the doors, Ford used some real crap to hold the tumblers in, and with a flat head screwdriver, the door can be assesed in under 10 seconds, and the messed up thing is that the pop on the door and the metal around look almost untouched, I have seen is first hand (the slightly bent metal that is). After talking to the Deputy, there is a huge increase in the thefts of late model mustangs and F150's, the newer versions, because of this popping the tumbler issue. If they are stealing the whole cars becareful and keep an eye out for 00-04 stang parts being sold and be weary of them. Mustangs and th F150's have increased over double the pst few months in car thefts. Good Luck

Yeah, my stepdad's company stores trucks for one of the Ford dealers. Someone broke in and stole an intercooler off an F-250. The guy started up te truck for a test drive and all the lights came on so it took it over to the shop and they said the intercooler was missing. They looked back at where it was parked at and low and behold, all the bolts were on the ground . The cops said some little import guy probably stole it.

That's one hell of an intercooler for ANY Import :o

Those are pics from a buick GN with a powerstroke Intercooler on it, now just imagine a CRX with that big fat bitch hanging on the front end

People the steal intercoolers from trucks are usually looking to cut them and make 2 or more using a torch then a welder.

I've always been weary of thieves. If the thieves happen to be reading this post........be aware that I am a light sleeper, car is near my bedroom window, and I am well armed. If anyone of you punkass thug-wannabe bitches tries breaking into my car I will kill you. I don't rake my yard for this very reason. Crunching leaves and twigs always start my neighbor's dog barking like crazy.
