1/4 window moulding covers?

Default 1/4 window moulding covers?

has anyone used the 1/4 window repair kit for 87-93 mustangs? how did they fit/ look? what brand did you use? thanks.

Ive seen the Steeda kits they look and fit like shizit.there only held on with double sided tape.

Pretty much that is they way all of those covers look. Scott was telling me the only way to make them look right is get the repro quaterwindows with new rubber. Hear that is an expensive route though.

You may get away with sanding them down and shooting them with paint. Depends on how rough/pitted the molding is...if it is too bad there is not much to salvage.

I've been told that they looked bad, so I have decieded to try the sanding/ paint route. If that doesn't work , there is a place I found that refurbishes them for 299.00 a set.

I have always have sanded then used a high fill primer,sanded the primer and painted.You cann fill a aweful lot with slick sand.I did mine that way about 3 years ago and they still look like new.

This is probably why you see a lot of foxbodies with the moldings paint matched to the rest of the car. I still prefer black, but anything looks better than faded/pitted moldings.
