99 fod mustang
I am geting a mustang an i wanted to find out what would be better to do. should i go with an x-pipe or a y pipe? and has any one ever used the bbk intake? just asking yr opnion. and any sugestions would be cool.

Its X pipe or H pipe. What kinad motor do you have anyway?
Y pipe is what stock v6s have. Stock v8s have an h pipe. You can convert a v6 over to x or h if you wanted too. Both x or h work well. Its more or less personal preference there is much difference in power, its more of a sound thing. But H pipes are supposed to make more power downlow and x make more up top. I have a Mac prochamber pipe and I love it. Its similiar to an x pipe in principal.
And as far as cold air intakes are, I dont like any of the metal ones. My vote is always densecharger or moroso.

ok well it's a 4.6L v8. and i can get the x-pipe and back section, the o2 senser bypass plug's, the bbk intake or the k&n intake for like $550. Alos what other bolt on mods are good for that motor?

if you put that x-pipe on your car its gonna sound like marbles rolling around your exhaust pipes, but if you like that sound go for it but i personally think that x-pipe w/o cats sound like complete ass on 2V mustangs.
now if you got a cobra go for it..........goto www.mustangexhaust.com and see what sound clips they got to make sure you like that sound.

As they said its basically preference to your liking...
I personally have Mac unequal shorty headers flowing to an Off Road H to 2 Chamber Flowmasters and love my exhaust ..... Its just beautiful sounding at 2 grand or above.
Now on mod motors the X pipe sounds completely badass and maybe most of it is because I love the way a mod motor sounds in the first place, totoally diffrent but still Mustang in every way.
I have a friend with an X pipe and he loves it and I also like the sound of it, its a 5.0 not a 4.6 so if your gonna go with anything, make it your preference and not someone elses...
And please refer to intakes as intakes and cold air kits as just that, cold air

"O really , seriously you have an intake? I got one of those on my car stock dude!" It is an intake tube yes, but not the intake, please dont take offense I just cant stand hearing all these younger Honda owners saying they have an intake done and shit lol.

ok thanks for yr input ill check ou tthat web site, goopster1 i have a mod motor in my t-bird and i love the way they sound but when i get my mustang i want it to sound bad ass so ill look around but thanks
