Default may be getting a cobra :)

So i'm needing a truck to pick up a new couch, and a buddy volunteers his mom's boyfriend to help out. After we ge the couch dropped off, he sees my 2 mustangs and tells me he he has a friend (older lady) who has a 97 Cobra and is wanting something else. she took it to a shady dealer and he offered her $3000 for it (67K miles). Then he tells me she would take an offer of $3500 for the car...and it's in cherry condition.

decisions decisions...cloth diapers for the twins and a cobra, or disposable diapers and no cobra.................

Feel free to come look at it, it's only a 14 hour drive from Tampa to Memphis

I just got off the phone with the bank, and their loan department is swamped so it may be tomorrow. Now the biggest hurdle...explaining to the wife that a Cobra will be good for her to drive the twins around in

the snake will be great for that. in your conversation mention the rigid frame and sturdy doors. leave out the 5-spd and reaching in the back seat to pull 50lbs worth of kids.

what makes you think i am in tampa?

Hell, thats a good deal for a 97 cobra. let me know, if you dont want it, it isnt no thing for me to take a flight to memphis, and drive that bad boy home.

Convince her you could turn around and sell the car for at least twice what you paid. If that car were in Tampa, I'd buy it then turn around and sell it for a quick $4-5k profit.

busted for making the same assumption most people make about me

great additions...also it will be great to quickly get her to the hospital when she goes into labor. the 5-spd thing isnt a problem, as both of my current stangs are 5-spd, and she's never driven anything but a manual.

that's what i was thinking..."honey, we can buy it for $3500, and trade it in on an SUV and get like $7K trade in..." Problem is, she knows me better than that.
