Default So the car wont start...

...or even turn on for that matter. All the power wires are connected, but Ive got several other plugs that dont mate up.

I turned the key to the on position, the only thing that would work was the horn. So I looked over the power wires and found a loose ground wire on the drivers side motor mount. Tightend it up and the battery light came on as-well-as the guages. The temp guage was reading at 5 o'clock and the fual guage went up a 1/4 tank. No fual pump, radio, lights, etc. would come on.

The dash, headlights, and body is wired for the V6 but has the Cobra computer and harness. I tryed my best to match up the plugs on the ECU to the plugs on the dash. Some of them matched up, but the wires were on different places. There is one white plug on the ECU harness that doesnt mate to the V6 dash harness.

PATS is disabled via a chip so that shouldnt be the problem. Anyone else have any suggestions on what it could be?

When I fried my Ignintion the same thing happened to me. Check the Ohms/voltage on each individual system. If I had to bet money on something it would be that you didn't hook up something on the Cobra harness that creates a closed loop with all the other system wires and thus will not let them function.

Time to go buy a standalone and say f-that cobra computer hehe.

Asking us probably won't help much since you frankensteined the wiring. Start with the basics on the wiring diagrams. If your not getting the fuel pump to turn on follow the fuel pump electrical routing and see if you crossed something somewhere.

Seriously...try talking to Jeff at BlueOval. He did the original V8 swap on my brother's old '96 V6. Both he and James at Race Related have both done quite a few V6 to V8 swaps and would be more than likely to throw you a bone.

I remember Jeff did the fox swap so Ill call him and see what he did. Has Race Related done any 4.6 swaps? Id hate to ask them because I was kinda a dick to him in the other thread.

I can't remember if it was Jeff or James, but I think both have put DOHC motors in a fox-body. James ended up putting a newer Lightning motor into my brother's old '96 V6 after he sold it...so he may have the best info to give you.

Just got off the phone with Jeff from Blue Oval. He said I could give them the computer harness and they could modify it to make it work with my V6 dash for $300. Its the only other option Ive got right now besides trying to troubleshoot everything.
