Default Fluid Leak

Dripping off of the front passenger subframe right up by the firewall. (89 5.0 Coupe). I can't see where it's coming from. It shouldn't be the A/C as I haven't even turned it on (and doubt that it works).

Maybe the heater core it's conection from the block?

I'd guess the heater core itself. Mine was bad on my '87 GT and it was draining off the subframe exactly where you explained it. If I were you I'd just splice them together and be done with it. It's not like you're going to need it anyway with it being Summer soon and you're going to be tearing it apart anyway.

Which way is better/easier to bypass it?

Just get a coupler and connect the two lines ?

or

Remove the lines and plug them where they originate on the intake?

I just get a joint and put them together. I think one hose is larger then the other, something like 1/2 and 3/8. Removing them from the intake would be so much more work.

I just plugged it and went. It probably wouldn't hurt to pull the cap and make sure it doesn't drop once the t-stat dumps, but I doubt it.
