I have always been one to defend ford when people (ricers) make that stupid fix or repair daily joke, but I am really starting to doubt built ford tough. My F-150 was a fucking dream, but that got totaled. The sunroof on my cougar stopped working a year and a half ago and omg, my fucking ranger. I have had this truck for about 2 months. It is an '01. I still have the cougar, but the ranger is my daily driver. Here is the list:

passenger window shakes when you put it down
Driver window goes up slow when putting both windows up together.
The door ajar light is always on.
The air bag malfunction light comes on randomly
The horn is dying

I loved my 99 4x4..it was a dream..then I got the problmatic TA WS6..half of these people on TR's dream car..blah.. the ranger was better..I had the door ajar light on too..took it in and got it fixed for cheap...you can always buy a nissan or honda and call it a day?

haha, I'll pass on the honda, but the titans are pretty sweet. Anyway, I use the ranger for work, so I drive it from 8am to 5pm. Everything annoys me. My 99 F-150 was a dream!! Red, dual exahust, single cab, short bed, pausy (sp?) rear end, and the big engine (I don't remember the size). I loved it, and it shut up a lot of ricers Anyway, I honestly think that the ranger was wrecked before I bought it. That is the on;y reason I would think it has all these problems.

Did you have the windows tinted recently? or anything? The window issue could be a tint issue, also could be the little felt window guides on the top of the door are worn out, very common problem with any vehicle. Door ajar light is the door switch, they go bad all the time in rangers. the "dying" horn is not a common problem, you sure the alternator isn't giving out on you?

anyway, the passenger window shaking means that the tracks could have become distorted, from dirt, people slamming the door, etc etc etc
the drivers side window going up slow is a result of the circutry, my passenger side window does that when putting them both down at once, cant really overcome that....
???no clue bout the door ajar....
my airbag light comes on too, i think its when the power from the inflator is drained for one reason or another, it comes on meaning its recharging itself
and the horn dying could be from excessive dirt or grime buildup in it, im sure mike or someone could put another one from discount auto parts in there in like 5 minutes....


and at least you still have the cooter..........
