Default Found a donor for the FFR

It's started. I found a donor for the FFR this weekend. Just a touch ahead of schedule as I'm just epoxy painting the garage floor this week.

Gonna get it dyno'd and start tearing it down.

It's about goddamned time.

I'll definitely still take it. I need the front spindles/brakes out of an SN95. Does he have any Tbird parts?

I'll be looking at getting rid of my stock SN95 non PBR calipers/rotors. I doubt thats what you are looking for, but just thought I'd throw that out there.

BTW, any more details on the donor car?

Alan,

SN95 non-pbr would be perfect. AP rules require that I run 16" wheels. Wilwoods are ideal, but $$$$, so it's getting budget brakes initially and I'll upgrade later. They won't have any problem stopping 2200lbs.

Do you have rotors, brackets and spindles too?
----------------------

Chris,

They did. I was really considering doing a 4v because I LOVE how they rev, but I've decided against it for now. They are well over 100lbs heavier and have a higher center of gravity. The wiring harness is a nightmare. And they are really expensive. If I were only building this car for cruising, I'd do it, but....

Donor Specs:

1989 LX 5.0 Coupe
118k miles
Auto
Black w/ Gray interior and a green hood (interior in great shape except for the seats)
Rebuilt title due to front end wreck
Stock except for K&N filter and catback exhaust
Wiring harnesses in original condition

FFR Build Plan

Factory Five Spec Racer (with IRS)
Ford 5.0 HO Motor
Tremec TKO (500 or 600 -- still undecided)
Koni D/A coilovers with custom valving for FFR's
275's up front 315's out back.
Front: SN 95 brakes/spindles
Rear: Tbird brakes/spindles
Sidepipes: Bring earplugs
Titled as a 65 if at all possible

Pretty sure it will just be the calipers, caliper brakets, rotors, and brake lines. Everything looks to be in good shape. Tonight I'll pull the brakes and I'll let you know exactly what I'll have available after I reinstall the Baer brakes onto the spindle. I'm hanging onto the SN95 spindles/hubs...those are finding their way onto the SVO soon.

Alan,

Sounds good.

I'm still in search of the following:

Manual pedal box
SN95 (preferrebly 96+) spindles
Tbird IRS
