i have an 89 stang with a t-5 i have the stock gear in it and i was wondering if any of you or anyone you know put a 4.10 gear in before? i was wondering if they were happy with the change or just couldnt wait to take the gear back out? i mostly drive it on the street with an occalional pass at the track.

 

I have a c4 and put

 

a 4:10 gear and I hated it.... I just dont like having my motor at the high RPM's all the time... It might be a little bit better for you just cause you have th 5-speed.. Just you wont be able to drive long distance's... I am takinging mine out theis sun... and thinking going with 3:55's.. I hope it is going to be alot better...

Do you have anthor car.. If so then it might work out for you..

 

I would reccomend 3.73s .. any more gear on a 5.0 is overkill.

 

Nothing wrong with a 4.10 gear. It all depends on what you are gonna do with your car, what size tires you run, what's done to the engine and how much driving you are planning on doing.

I used to run around town with a set of 4.56's in my car when I drove it on the street.

 

456's and a C4 suck ass!

 

i'd go for the 3.73 in a mainly street driven car. best SOTP feel.

 

+1 for the 3.73's,many variables can be debated but best all around in my opinion is the 3.73's
