So I need a new main/outputshaft

Turns out some little teeth that hold a snap ring on mainshaft/outputshaft were broken off for some reason. So the snap ring wasnt doing anything and letting everything slide forward.
I had a spare 88 tranny and I brought it over to see if it would work. Turns out now, the Z spec shaft is bigger in diameter by a lot. So I stopped by the local ford dealership to see if they had a price for a 95 cobra mustang shaft.
Its discontinued and was $800. I call brandon ford, they tell me they cant get it all either. But D&D carries them and they are $350,
Shitty deal I must say, I still need to find out the reason why the teeth broke off, but my boss is going to try and weld and grind some teeth back on... so who knows......
right now I need a new shaft and 2 new blocker rings, again.
