DPFE sensor or EGR valve?

There might be an updated programming for the DPFE sensor, I remember when I worked over at the dealership a few months ago a TSB out on the DPFE sensor for an updated computer range for it.

DPFE replacement is simple. Unscrew two screws. Remove two vacuum lines (usuall involves snapping plastic fittings from sensor). Unplug harness. Repeat in reverse order with new sensor.
I'm not sure how it was for the Mustang in 00-01, but the Focus had "defective" DPFE sensors which would trap moisture inside the sensor. The moisture would eventually accumulate and trash the sensor. Assuming Ford likes to use similar sensor between models, this is most likely the problem.
EGR replacement isn't hard, but replace the DPFE sensor before purchasing a new EGR. I think my DPFE from Brandon Ford for the Focus was around $40-50.

the EGR valve on a 4.6 is really simple, its like 2 bolts and a big bolt on the hose that comes from the manifold........ you can prolly change it in about 15min even if your not good with tools.......

alright, I got a new dpfe sensor in, changed it out. It was REALLY simple, thank you, but unfortunately I am still getting check engine light and even though I press the gas down all the way it takes a couple of seconds to actually get going. As well, as almost stalling when I first start the car and put it in drive, thanks for all the advice on the dpfe anyone have another solution? maybe, now replace the egr?
have the codes cleared, then drive it for a bit till the light comes back on, then have the codes pulled........ see if it is the MAF or if it is still giving a EGR code..........
did you try cleaning the MAF yet?

No, I haven't tried that yet. I have been trying to search on all these ideas because I would rather learn and find out myself then to ask someone, but its almost like there is too much shit on the internet to find what you are really looking for. So, I guess I am resulting to asking. First off, do you know of a website that is helpful for people who don't know where things are on their mustang? Is there a good "how to" website out there for mustangs? Once I find out where it is and how to take it off, how do I clean it. I know you said to use alcohol, I just don't know where it is or how to take it off. Again, I am sorry for my lack of understanding, you guys rock, thanks for the help.
