well i know what people use to run fast and none of them have the stock 98 heads, all of them are the PI heads which mean Performance Improved or something like that. the 98 heads suck balls and even if you do port&polish them to the max with a set of nasty cams they will NEVER out perform the PI heads.

 

see, alot of people argue that, but i have seen flow #'s on both ported and unported and they are pretty damn close.... the PI's flow a tad higher at high lift and the non PI's flow a bit better at lower lifts........


i was just saying for alot cheaper you can do the PI cam and intake and have a good gain in HP for 1/3 rd the cost, and not having to deal with taking the heads off and such........

the PI swap will make more power overall, but this is mainly from the boost in CR which will be bad when running a power adder later, and the PI swap is alot more in $$$$

i'm not knocking the PI's, just giving the guy a different option........

One more question, with the PI cams and intake, will I need any other hardware or are they direct replacements?

 

the cams are a direct replacement i belevie........


for the intake you need a different coolant hose (the one that is under the intake) from a 99up car, and you have to relocate one of the coolant sensors...........
