Last night on the dyno my car did not want to go in or out of gear easily then after the dyno night we went to go get a drink and I could barely get it in reverse to park.

Today I try to leave to drop the car off for a additional project at John Moretti's house and the damn thing will not move out of the garage (locked in first).

After looking and looking I found the above culprit. See how far back the nut is away from the pivot fork ? It is supposed to be snug against it. Well mine wasn't and appears to be stripped. Thankfully that seems to be the problem and hopefully I did not tear anything up internally trying to get it in and out of gear.

But Craig, that's going to happen with any project car, especially one almostr tripline his stock HP.

I hardly call it a problem anyway. One nut got stripped, no big deal. I expect shit to happen since I am running it on the ragged edge.

 

There should be a second nut that acts like a jam nut so it doesn't back out like that.
