Default T-56 swap into a foxbody info please

I'm a former 89' 5.0 LX hatchback owner, and I sold the car for 2 reasons, #1 I had a kid on the way, and didn't know what to expect and #2 it broke T-5 trannies about as often as I changed the oil !!!

I have a TT stealth R/T, a Turbocharged honda civic ( 14.6@94mph ), a saturn SL1, and a 01' focus ZX3 POS.

I'm thinking of selling the civic and buying another 5.0.

Problem is that I don't wanna spend $2500 on a TKO, but I don;t wanna break 3 trannies with-in 2 years ( like my former 5.0 ).

SO I'm looking into what is needed and what it would cost me to install and run a LT-1/LS-1 camaro T-56. I know it can be doen with out extreme mods, but I know for sure the driveshaft has to be shortened.

Anyway, any info, links, or suggestions are welcome

First off, where do you get $2500 for a TKO?
http://www.lonestarperformance.com/s...t_Code=2600708

Clutch price shouldn't matter as it is no different price wise than T-5.

Now as far as handling power the TKO can do it when prepped.
http://www.x2cmotorsports.com/tranny_shop.shtml

The V1.0 is recommended for vehicles running 9.90 ET and slower with 1.35 60ft at up to 140mph trap speed.

TREMEC TKO V.1.0 by X2C MOTORSPORTS

The V2.0 is recommended for vehicles running 9.10 and slower at up to 160mph.

TREMEC TKO V.2.0 by X2C MOTORSPORTS

The V2.0R is our race only transmission without 5th gear to save rotational weight. This transmission has strengthened cases, billet girdle/inspect covers and other proprietary modifications.

TREMEC TKO V.2.0R by X2C MOTORSPORTS

X2C has proven these transmissions at the track with blasts over 158 mph!! The car that these transmissions were tested in weighed 3300 lbs with driver. We truly have the fastest street driven Tremec cars in the world!!

Each transmission is hand dis-assembled and modified then X2C serial numbered internally and externally prior to shipping.

X2C does not recommend Metallic style clutch discs, these hit the transmissions very hard and can shorten component life and cause pre-mature breakage, please call us for clutch recommendations.

* These transmissions were tested in a car making 1000 hp that weighed 3300 lbs with driver.

Do you own a Torch Red FRC and tremble every time you drive under I75 on Hwy 60 and look in your rearview mirror? If so you are suffering from what is known as Cobraphobia.

I bet this guy knows nothing about mustangs at all.... I bet he's owned a Crx at one time or another...

No stang of mine will ever see a 9sec run, more like a high high high 10 at best.

Yeah but I had to sell the CRX to pay the EPA fines from all of the gas you leaked at my house!

Been a while, if I would have known you were the one asking I would've told you to get a 4 cyl T-5!
