There are alot of people with 2.3t here posted already and several that haven't. With this many of us around finding parts should be a breeze.

Mine isn't running very well right now either so don't feel bad.

The question of the day is: Is there even one turbo 2.3 running properly in Tampa?

Mine seriously has about 5 known exhaust leaks causing some interesting issues. Other than the misc leaks and drips, she is sputtering around like a champ.

Mine doenst run becuase i crave more power.... Mine would of been just fine if i just swaped a new head gasket in. But nah i had to do a larger turbo, larger intercooler etc.... The intake should be in late this week or early next so hopefully it will be running in about 2 weeks.

What sort of intake are you running on the car? I'm thinking about trying out one of Bob's gutted upper with a knife-edged lower mani.

What exactly is involved in pulling the lower manifold? Besides the obvious removal of the fuel rail and whatnot, do you have to remove the alternator or anything else?

I'm going with a custom tube upper that is made of 3.5 inch aluminum elbow, this will bolt to my stock lower that is knife edged and ported and polished. Granted that this intake works well i will be selling my old upper intake that is totaly welded up and square instead of the valleys and gutted, and also fitted to work with a 65mm TB. The lower intake is pretty easy to remove, 8 bolts and the fuel rail etc. Just make sure to take out most of the coolent so you dont spill into the cyls when you pull off the intake. If you need some help drop me a line.

You should definately get the gutted upper and ported lower. The main thing I liked was the throttle body. You will be so freaking shocked when you move away from a progressive linkage to a straight pull it nots funny. Mine has lots lots better throttle response and is just more fun to drive.

The lower intake is cake you have to take off the upper/tb and the fuel rail. Then disconnect the fuel lines and the coolant line from the lower. Have something handy to plug the lower with because the line it self will leak alot of coolant. It will most likely be hard to pull it off, when you do though just pull it from the top so the coolant just leaks down fron the intake and doesn't get in the cylinders. BTW the bottom bolts are kind of a pia to reach so get a knuckle socket and or a wobble extenson. It took me about and hour and half the first time.

We need some kind of meeting forum or something. I'll leave my comments about tf out of it.
