EGR Blockoff
Plan on ditching my non-functional EGR and "fabricating" an aluminum block off plate. Talked to John when I picked up my Tial BOV this afternoon and realized I forgot it needs a vacuum line. So this got me thinking...
What if I were to have a vacuum fitting welded/braized to the aluminum plate? Seems to me this would be an excellent vacuum source for the BOV or a boost gauge or whatever.

The passage is behind the TB.
Alan, I don't guess you've studied my motor well enough
Thats exactly how I did mine. I used a 1/8" aluminum plate (used the EGR gasket for a pattern). I then drilled and tapped for a pipe fitting for my boost gauge. You could put a bigger fitting in there with a "T" for a BOV and whatever else you wanted, but what is really trick is to cut the whole EGR boss off and tap the hole for a pipe plug (or T) which really cleans up the intake quite a bit.

Yeah I only did see your motor that one time when your battery died. Never did get a close look at your setup.
Definately want to check it out in further detail this Friday at Coastal.
