Started it up today and drove it home. Needs a little tuning adjustment with the fuel regulator and timing to really wake it up.

Acutally I woulda been done 2 days before hand probably but I had to have some valves recut and I had to relap them in myself. First time ever doing that actually.

I was working that torque wrench like I was a NHRA pit mechanic doing a buildup between passes.

The new shortblock after buttoning up the bottom end. Its a 92 stock shortblock with 52 miles.

the rest of my crap. I have to replace the water pump again. Its only a few months old and its already leaking out the weep hole

 

my self ported heads. First time I ever lapped valves, pertty easy actually. I had to replace some valve stem seals too. Guess the shop that did the final machine used some ultra cheap seals that were hard as a rock and crumbled
