WTF??? BMP under new management?
hence the reason they've been putting more money into BMP and not much into Sunshine. If memory serves me, the lady that owns the speedway (not the dragstrip) wants to sell the entire plot of land, not just part.. and the city hasn't ponied up enough $$$.
at least that's what i've been told.

The last word I got was the state only wanted to buy half the property, enough for the road. The owner wants to sell it all, drag strip, oval track, stables, or nothing. The state made an offer, the owner said it wasn't enough. If the state paid what they are wanting for the land, they wouldn't have enough money left to build the road they want to.
Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. I'm sure sooner or later big government is gonna step in and force the issue.
Just remember, as bad as some people think our local tracks are, once they are gone, they're gone. Nothing will be built to take their place.

I thought there were federal laws saying the GOV can take your land to build roads, whether you like it or not??

Man those guys over at SCFBA got all worked up over this B.S.. Guess if I would have had a GM in my avitar instead of my car I would have been treated differently, but who cares.
It seems like everything has cooled down, thankfully.

Thanks for clearing it up Scott. I was so sleepy last night when I read it I didn't even realize who posted it, or else I would've just ignored it.
