FFW ?'s
well as many of you guys know, Fun Ford Weekend is coming to gainville in June and i plan on participating in the event but i have never been to a real drag racing event or even been down the track to get a real timeslip although other people have driven my car down the strip. now i have a few ?'s for the guys that know track terms and thngs of that nature.
first off i plan on competeing the the E.T. bracket class of Street Ford or if that is impossible then i will have to compete in tremic street warrior but i will get killed in that class with my little bored over 289 w/o power adder.
http://www.funfordevents.com/index.p...link=Rules_SFI
this is the link for the E.T. rules im curious about the 13.99 or less group as i dont have a drive shaft loop.
http://www.funfordevents.com/index.p...es&pos=0,20,12
here down at the bottom of the page where it says DRIVER CRUDENTIALS.MUST MEET HOST TRACK'S SANCTIONING BODY (NHRA / IHRA) REQUIREMENTS. Current valid FFW permanent numbers mandatory. wtf does this mean? permanent numbers?
any information that will help me to my drag racing victory will be much appreciated

SN-95 is the chassis after the FOX chassis.
spend the $40 and buy a driveshaft loop, good insurance anyway.
The bracket classes would be fine for you to run in you would just have to pick what's best for you.
I believe quick ford would probably fit best.
Why not enter into the True Street class, 30 mile cruise, DOT tires (ET streets, BFGs,etc) no perm. numbers.
It's a good time and you have a good opportunity of winning in multiple classes (closest to 11 sec average, 12 sec average, etc)
Pays out $100 for each winner, then a payout to the fastest average (better run low 9s for this).
Since you're not running 9.99 or lower, you won't need anything but license and proof of insurance to run the True Street class.
For the Heads up classes they are referring to the FFW membership and all IHRA/NHRA licensing requirements.
Street warrior has specific class requirements and rules, and they'll be running low 10s NA with no more than 310ci.
Your best bet would be true street. I will be there running Street Renegade and my friend running the True Street class. just look for my car. SHoot me a PM if you have any other questions...
One more thing, you might go to the season opener in Orlando just to get an idea of what it is like.
Hope this helps.

well im still deployed out of the country and i will not be back until the middle of march, after the orlando event, so the gainsville event will be my first. im also going to goto some local tracks and tune my car real good and get the hang of using N2o on the track plus ive never launched with DR's so that will be one more thing i need to get used too before i go.
