Don't mean to gloat so much but I just got back from one of the best days ever !
Went down to BMP this morning (yes this morning
) to do some testing on the car. To say I am happy is putting it lightly.
But I felt like a child among men with some of the cars that were there but that o.k...
We are definitley going to have to change the 4.10's out as expected. I could only make it to the 1000 ft mark before I ran out of gear and hit the rev limiter. I went to 5th one time and that was not fun nor good on the tranny given the shaking it did.
It did not seem like it was hooking hard but 60ft's were in the 1.5-1.4 range on every run.
I was launching easy (around 4,000 rpm's) so I could get used to it.
I got faster every pass as I started to learn the shift points and etc.. I got up on the rev limiter for just a second on most passes because I am not used to the new combo yet but that got better to as the day went on. We also ran less boost on every run because the EGT's were getting a little hot.
I have got so say a huge thanks to BMP for letting me come down and of course everyone at Coastal (Sam, T.J., and Cliff the carb master
) for sticking in there and doing such a great job.
My camera only records 15 seconds at a time on the HQ setting so don't harass the filmer it was not his fault.
Overall it was a great day. Between the car running well and getting compliments from some of the Pro Stock teams that were there testing I could not have asked for much more.
Here are the videos, tell me what you think it ran (running out of gear mind you) before I scan in the timeslips.
I am interested to see what some of your guesses are.
This is just the car warming up in the driveway.

This is a pretty good run, it bogged a little because I only came out at 3,000 rpm's..

This run I got real loose which is unusal for my car, I was trying higher tire pressure so that is my guess. Note the tracks it is laying down because it is spinning, but it was the fastest run !

This was the best run and the shortest video
I came out at 4,000 rpm's and need to come out a little harder to get rid of the slight bog from the slicks.

Now time to get my head out of the clouds and pass out for a little while from having my nerves racked all day.
